See Ree Drummond’s kids recreate throwback Easter photo

There’s nothing like a vacation to recreate childhood photos, and the Drummond family is no exception.

‘Pioneer Woman’ author and celebrity chef Ree Drummond, 53, shared a carousel of snaps on Instagram on Tuesday showing her children Alex, Paige, Bryce, Jamar and Todd recreating Easter photos from a decade ago .

The original photo shows Alex, Paige, Bryce and Todd dressed in skimpy costumes and dresses for Easter.

“Swipe to see the recreated photo,” wrote Drummond; the second photo shows four of his children posing identically, but all adults.

Drummond continued, “(Then swipe again!!!) 😊 I really like those pookie heads. (Hey moms, mules are back.)”

In photo three, adopted son Jamar is nestled among his siblings.

“9 years and another brother later,” Alex commented alongside a series of smiley emojis.

“I don’t know how I got so lucky,” Drummond wrote in a blog post. “Thank God for these children of mine.”the pioneering woman / Instagram

In a blog post shared on Drummond’s site, the mum-of-five shared that it was her idea to recreate the Easter photo.

“I’m crying,” Drummond wrote. “Where have my grandchildren gone? I miss those little whippersnappers. That said… I like the people they are now.

And Drummond was quick to add that in the original photo – “Something is missing! Somea is missing.”

“We have an adopted son now,” she revealed in a November 2020 blog post. “His name is Jamar.”

Drummond explained at the time that she and her husband decided to favor Jamar after meeting him at high school football practices in their hometown.

“Jamar’s situation came to us in a way we couldn’t ignore,” she wrote, adding that she waited until he was 18 to share the news. “So long story short, all six-foot-five of him showed up at our house one afternoon, bag in hand, ready to move in.”
