Scheduled overnight closures on the Westbound H-1 Freeway in Pearl City and Waipahu during September

HONOLULU – Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT), Highways Division, Notifies Oahu Motorists of Ramp and Ramp Closures on the H-1 Westbound Freeway in Pearl City and Waipahu, to tracing work. Closures are scheduled during night hours until September, with provisional working dates allowed in the event of bad weather conditions. The road works schedule is as follows.

Westbound Pearl City / Waimalu Offramp (Exit 10)

  • Closed Tuesday September 7 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Provisional work is scheduled for Sunday September 12, Monday September 13 and Monday September 27, from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Westbound Waipahu Offramp (Exit 8B)

  • Closed Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 7:30 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Provisional work is scheduled for Monday, September 13 and Monday, September 27, from 7:30 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Access ramp west of Moanalua (from Moanalua Road)

  • Closed Thursday, Sept. 9 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Provisional work is scheduled from Tuesday September 14 to Sunday September 19 to Tuesday September 21 and from Tuesday September 28 to Sunday October 3 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Motorists are reminded to follow all signage and detour routes posted in the work area. Police will be on site to assist with traffic control and security procedures. TheBus and first responders have been advised of the closures and will not be allowed through the closure. Road works allow it.
