When it comes to Horizon forbidden to the westIt was initially revealed that the game would launch before the end of 2021. Likewise, the highly anticipated sequel is coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Now rumors suggest we won’t be seeing the game until 2022. It started with credible reporters with sources close to the game’s development. However, another clue has emerged online that could also point to Guerrilla Games coming out soon with a delayed announcement.
The last clue comes in the form of PlayStation Germany. After posting a new blog post highlighting the PlayStation 2021 releases, fans will spot Horizon forbidden to the west is missing. This leaves many fans thinking that their next adventure with Aloy might not hit the market as soon as they initially hoped. Again, nothing is official at this time, so Horizon forbidden to the west could be released again this year.
Hopefully we will have the official word soon as to whether we can expect Horizon forbidden to the west this year or not. It wouldn’t be too surprising to see an announcement delayed. We have seen many games postponed due to the pandemic pushing studios to work from home rather than in the studio.
Regardless, the game will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms, as previously mentioned. That alone could be a relief as it’s always difficult to find stock on hand for PlayStation 5 units. Although, the last one we heard in terms of PlayStation 5 units, Sony has confirmed that 12 million PlayStation 5 units more would arrive on the market during this fiscal year.
